As the World  Falls Down
2016

As the World Falls Down was created during a time
of personal and collective uncertainty,
a moment when it felt like the world was falling.

Set deep within rainforests and waterfalls, these images explore
the psychological weight of collapse and the quiet strength found
in returning to the body and the earth.
The figures,  often nude and partially obscured, are both revealed
and held by the landscape, engaged in moments
of solitude or ambiguous connection.
Their presence within these shadowed environments speaks
to vulnerability as a kind of resistance: soft, watchful, unspoken.

This body of work reflects on what it means to be held by nature
when systems fail us, to reorient through sensation,
to dissolve and endure, to grieve while being alive.
Through stillness and suspended gesture,
the work becomes a kind of visual elegy, not just for lost innocence,
but for the possibility of beginning again.
